I got my big break in journalism as a TV critic and showbiz reporter on a national newspaper and have since written, commissioned, edited and fixed countless celebrity interviews and shoots on titles including Sunday magazine (News of the World), Now magazine, TVTimes, Woman, Closer (where I managed Carol Vorderman’s column), love it! and Tesco magazine. I’ve directed shoots, including covers and fashion, and been involved in negotiating sponsorship deals with the BAFTAs and National Television Awards.
As part of my role as Mum of the Year Editor at Tesco magazine I secured Denise Lewis OBE, Michelle Mone OBE, Arlene Phillips OBE and Emma Forbes as judges and oversaw the celebrity booker for the 2012 awards, as well as arranging a tea with the Prime Minister for the winning mums at No 10 Downing Street.
I’ve interviewed stars ranging from Russell Crowe to Amanda Holden and have fantastic relationships with many leading agents and publicists.
(For this shoot I set out to achieve the seemingly impossible – make Jodie Marsh look demure and vulnerable. Actually I think I managed it.)
